Greetings to all returning SWC members and prospective members! 

Over the summer break, several of your board members have been busy preparing a number of new and exciting things for SWC 2010-2011, including:

• A new and greatly enhanced SWC Web site
• Another successful annual School Supply Sale fundraiser
• Transition of SWC monthly newsletter from paper to electronic version
• Evaluating cost vs. benefit of SWC’s voice mail
• Planning this year’s programs and social events
• Preparations for Art in the Square 2011
• A fun mid-summer “Girls Night Out” at The Wine Loft in July, attended by approximately 40 members and guests

For your convenience, you will now be able to join SWC via the Web site and pay your annual dues with a credit or debit card instead of paper enrollment and checks as we have previously done.  Be sure to indicate if you are actively serving on a committee already, as our bylaws instruct. If not, you'll have a chance at our first meeting to hear about and select your top 3 choices for committees on which to serve during the 2010-2011 year; you will be notified within a few weeks of where you are most needed. 

So, it is with much excitement and anticipation that we begin this new year together – the 25th anniversary of SWC! Please plan to join any of our monthly programs, held the second Thursday of every month, beginning at 10:30 am for social time or 11:00 am for the program.  I hope you’ll bring a guest or two with you, as we’d love to welcome many new members this year, along with our returning members!

On a personal note, I am honored to serve as SWC President this year. Here’s to new friendships, new opportunities to serve our community, and fun memories together!
